Aisha grew up in British Columbia, Canada, and moved to the UK 13 years ago. She is a local resident, wife, mother, and councillor. Professionally, she has worked in the social housing sector for over a decade for a large housing association, which specialises in supported housing, including veterans' supported housing. She is dedicated to, and passionate about, serving local communities and has been portfolio holder for the environment for several years, responsible for parks, trees, environmental crime, waste & recycling for several years.

Aisha is also passionate about helping to tackle loneliness and social isolation in our communities and led a campaign to tackle loneliness, which was internationally recognised.

Aisha is a former national synchronised swimmer and swam for Team GB Masters. Her final competition was representing Great Britain at the World Aquatics (FINA) championships in Budapest, Hungary in 2017.

She is looking forward to meeting residents, voluntary groups, and businesses over the coming months across Sittingbourne and Sheppey.
